BenSouthern Tier has hit several home runs over the years, but its latest is fresh out of the oven, as Frosted Sugar cookie is the perfect desert beer for the holiday season. While it isn’t as strong as, say, Pumking, the cookie-dough taste, with swig of Dr. Brown’s cream soda, is neither subtle nor overwhelming. It’s also 8.6% alc, a percentage I’m only used to drinking with IPAs.
While Southern Tier might not end up giving Frosted Sugar Cookie the same brewing love as it ended up doing with Pumking, for now it’s a delightful treat – a bit pricey even in a four-pack – but well worth it for a special occasion, like $15 caramelized popcorn.
