When searching for new beers to try, sometimes it’s nothing more than the label that stands out, and with its camo green and red-eyed mascot, with an Army-yellow font, Barbarian Haze IPA woke the GI Joe-loving kid in me. While Barbarian Haze IPA, from 3 Floyds Brewing, is indeed another good IPA – and not the fruity kind – there’s nothing unique or unusual about it. It tastes like countless other IPAs I’ve tried. Maybe someone with a more sensitive pallet would be able to detect an extra hops, but that seems like too much work when trying to guzzle a beer and play Army.
