BenGrabbing one of the final bottles in my international beer basket that was gifted to me after a funeral, I came across yet another lager that I’ve been avoiding, as too many lagers make me want to regurgitate.
But the Dunkel Lager, by Von Trapp Brewing, doesn’t taste like it was brewed in tree bark, like so many other lagers. It’s dark, but the medium-enough taste suddenly has me re-thinking my unreasonable prejudice against dark beers. This is a genuinely good beverage.
It’s 5.7% but doesn’t taste that strong. 4 stars.
