In an effort to take my mind off the cold weather, I purchased a variety pack from Kona Brewery out of Hawaii. They are very high alc content but I hoped the taste would make me forgot about the cold and dream of the islands. The first one I tried is Fire Rock, it has one of the higher alc content at 5.8%, not bad. A deep copper color for a pale ale but I like it! It has a full taste, enough that I would think it was an Irish red more than a pale ale from Hawaii. I will put these in the summer category based off of origin, even though they are available all year long. Definetly worth a try, 3.5 stars.
